Iran Allows Turkish Ship Through Hormuz While 23 Indian Tankers Remain Stuck

Web Desk: India is reportedly seeking Iran’s help to secure the release of its oil tankers that are currently stranded in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to a report by the The Wall Street Journal, a total of 23 Indian tankers are stuck in the vital shipping route. The Indian government has been in contact with Iran to ensure safe passage for these vessels.

India’s Foreign Minister, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, has already spoken twice with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, to discuss the situation and find a solution.

Meanwhile, Turkey has seen some progress. A Turkish minister confirmed that Iran has allowed one Turkish vessel to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. However, 14 Turkish ships remain stranded in the area.

At the same time, Olaf Scholz stated that Germany does not want to become involved in Iran’s conflict. Scholz said there is no reason for Germany to provide military protection for ships in the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized that Germany is not part of the conflict and does not intend to get involved.
